Re-Install

I just finished re-installing current release of WordPress 2.0.2 . Sorry guys for the inconvenience caused in the last 1 hour. I dont know why i dont like to upgrade it, may be I am scared of loosing data while overwriting the existing files. Even if it takes a good amount of time to re-install, i prefer to do that way. Anyways my blog is up and running smoothly now.

On the next update of 3 Column K2 Style, i am thinking to modify one of the svn releases or may be i can include some of the features from svn in to this k2r167. If you want me to include any specific feature from svn in to this release please let me know. I am going to grab a current release of k2 from svn and have a look at it now. Long Live K2.

By installing the Widgets plugin by Automattic and using a widget-ready theme, you can bring the popular customization feature from WordPress.com to your very own, hosted WordPress installation. (WordPress 2.0 required). This plugin comes with several useful and entertaining widgets but expect great numbers of widgets to appear over the coming days and weeks.

Stupid

The last weekend and all of this week has been horrible as i forgot to renew my domain – obharath.com. Now i am up with my new domain obharath.net. Have to wait 30 more days for my old domain to be back up. I missed blogging and re-design of my blog.

Don’t Panic! WordPress is Secure.

There is news of a worm which uses a vulnerability in the PHPXMLRPC libraries to spread a computer virus. Some articles are pointing to out-of-date information claiming that WordPress 1.5 is vulnerable. That is incorrect. WordPress 1.5 or higher is safe. Since the release of version 1.5, WordPress has used a completely different XML-RPC library, called IXR.
