The Symbian OS™ maker annouced on tuesday that they have shipped their 100th Symbian powered smartphone model. Symbian Ltd., the market-leading open mobile operating system for advanced, data-enabled mobile phones, also known as smartphones, has shipped in not only 100 different commercial phone models to over 250 major network operators worldwide but also 70.5 million phones to date worldwide since its formation.

“It’s a great milestone for Symbian to reach the shipment of its 100th phone model and 70.5 million Symbian OS phone shipments since we opened for business ” said Nigel Clifford, CEO, Symbian. #.

I am a mobile freak and have used more than 10 mobiles equipped with Symbian OS in the last 3 years and my favourite to date is definetly Sony Ericsson p910i.
